Welcome to my family history blog. Finding more about my family's history is very rewarding as well as being interesting and educational.
I created this blog to share my thoughts, experiences, tips and resources in my search for my ancestors' history and maybe, help you in your research as well. I am particularly interested in the history of Upper Canada and the Loyalist period in history.

Tombstone Tuesday - William and Rachel Doan

I found my 2nd Great-grandparents', parents of Harriet Fernetta Doan Hines, gravestones on Find-a-Grave.com. They are buried in Doan's Ridge Cemetery. I also found more information about their parents there as well.

According to the information provided on Find-a-Grave, William was the son of Elijah Doan, grandson of Titus Doan Sr.

Rachel was also a Doan, daughter of Aaron Doan, there were a few of them in the Welland area then.
