52 Weeks to Better Genealogy- Week #35- DAR GRS

The Genealogical Research System (GRS) on the DAR website is a great tool for researching my patriot ancestor. The information gathered from this is a great starting point, in addition to pointing out resources that have documentation. You may find a DAR member's Descendants tree for the ancestor as well, I was fortunate to have found one proven descendant from a different line of the Hawkins-Stonecipher family, my 3rd great-aunt, Temperance Stonecipher Click. It wouldn't be too difficult for my line to be added to the proven list.
